Regulatory Permitting

Biscayne Engineering's intimate involvement in the evolution and
preservation of Florida's waterways and environment started with
the engineering of the foundation and wall protecting historic Cape
Florida Lighthouse from the threat of destructive erosion.
Early projects include the design of the canal system connecting
the Graham Family plantation with the rest of Miami and the Biscayne
Drainage district, the project that made Dade County's massive land
development possible.
Over the years, Biscayne Engineering has worked closely with the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Army Corp of Engineers, U.S.
Coast Guard as well as Florida Department of Environmental Protection,
and numerous state and local water management districts.
We have prepared regulatory permit applications for both publicly
and privately owned property. Additionally, our team of engineers
is trained in environmentally sustainable design (ESD) and has designed
several green projects.
Recognizing and providing for the complex components of this region's
ever-changing environmental permitting regulations and requirements
is a priority at Biscayne Engineering.
