Paramount Bay

Project consists of 360 high end condominium units located on Biscayne Bay, Florida. Services provided by Biscayne Engineering Company included: Boundary Survey, Plat, Established Ground Control, Established Benchmarks, Pile Layout, Pile As-Builts, Control Line Verification, Settlement Checks, Miscellaneous Layout and As-Builts, ALTA Survey, Prepared FPL Easement Documents
and FEMA Flood Certificate.

New World Symphony

New World Symphony, Miami Beach, Florida Performed high definition laser scanning of the steel structure of the building (which included many curved members) to allow ceilings and other architectural features to be prefabricated offsite. Also performed control line verification and miscellaneous layout. Biscayne Engineering Company has met budget and time constraints on this project.

Fairchild Tropical Gardens

Fairchild tropical gardens

Biscayne Engineering Company provided Civil Engineering services on a project at Fairchild Tropical Gardens in the City of Coral Gables, Florida for the demolition of the existing orchid room, screen house, maintenance building, Rainforest Café and office building and accommodate the addition of a new shade house, café, banquet hall and office pavilion.

Winston Towers 300

Winston Towers 300 contracted with Biscayne Engineering for two projects. The first project consisted of a multi-phase renovation program for the structural restoration of the pedestal, or garage level, of the condominium. Some of this restoration effort included the inspection of repairs to major column that had deteriorated as a result of chlorinated water from the pool seeping into the supporting columns.

Florida Marine Patrol Station

A Florida Marine Patrol Station was constructed for the southern command that was located just north of the north campus of Florida International University, with Oleta State Park. As a result of budget constraints, much of the intended construction was removed from the project including a helipad, a paved parking lot, a boat/vehicle maintenance building, and a paved impound yard. This project was intended to complete some of the construction that needed to eliminate from the original project, resolve some functional issues resulting from the original construction, respond to requirements imposed by more current State legislation for such facilities, and upgrade accessibility to the facility.

Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department

Biscayne Engineering was contracted by WASD to prepare a program to install new water services, free of charge to the property owner, to new water mains along the frontage of the property. The Dual Water Main Program identifies procedures to be followed by a Program Manager to develop design-build packages that are biddable by small plumbing contractors as part of the County’s initiative to promote small business enterprises.

Sweet Home Baptist Church

As part of the re-platting process, Sweet Home Baptist Church is being required to reconstruct a portion of S.W. 107th Avenue from a 2 lane rural roadway to a 4-lane divided urban roadway with left turn bays. Biscayne Engineering Company is providing complete roadway construction plans for this widening including drainage improvements and striping and signage plans.

Camillus House : Water Main Extension

The Camillus House South Dade Transitional Facility is a former hotel that was served by a drinking water well. Because it was not served by a municipal water supply, the State of Florida limited the number of residents that could occupy the facility. Thus, Camillus House constructed a water main extension to serve the facility which increased the number of residents that could occupy the facility. Biscayne Engineering Company designed the water main extension and permitted it through the State of Florida.

Florida Department of Transportation : Krome Avenue

Preparation of Right-of-Way Control Survey and R/W Map in connection with the widening of Krome Avenue (S.R. 997) from SW 88th Street (Kendall Drive) to SW 8th Street. Tasks performed by Biscayne Engineering Company included Horizontal and Vertical Project Network Verification, Re-establish Historic Alignment for S.R. 997, Establish R/W Lines throughout project, Perform Sectionalized Land Surveys, Locate Miscellaneous Topography, G.P.S. Surveys, Meeting Attendance, Title Search Analysis, Prepare Legal Descriptions, Prepare Control Surveys, and Prepare R/W Map.

UM : Professional Arts Center Clinical Research Building

The University’s Clinical Research Building is a 15 story building adjacent to S.R.836. Biscayne Engineering Company provided numerous professional surveying services prior to, and during construction, including: Boundary Survey, Topographic Survey, Meeting Attendance, Utility Surveys, Drainage Surveys, As-Built Surveys, Legal Descriptions, Tentative Plat, Final Plat, Construction Surveying, and Mean High Water Surveying.
